The skull that decorates the face of the shield offers a fair amount of fear to potential opponents, but the shield seems to be far more decorative than useful. Still, there seems to be a darker edge to the shield that you can't place your finger on, and one wonders if this device has some hidden attribute.

You need to have at least -50 karma to use an Orc Shield. Once you have it equipped, your karma doesn't matter unless you drop it.
The Orc Shield provides some enhancement to Qor spells. For instance it amplifies Acid Touch while diluting the damage from Splash of Acid.
