When you enter this map the most important thing is not to walk forward and fall off the first cliff into the chasm with the orcs and black spider. If you do, you will be unable to get back up and have to run through the mountains all over again.

Stay to the top and follow the path around until you find yourself on the open ledge facing the node. Run forward and press towards the node area and you will land safely by it giving you free access to it.
