The switch is fairly easily defended. It's behind a long, narrow hallway that can be blocked off by two persons standing in it.
Only downside security-wise is two hidden compartments where invaders can sneak out of when the door is opened. Most guilds that own this hall require routine checks of these compartments before opening the door.
