The powerful smell of rotted flesh and embalming herbs assault your nostrils. This shambling horror in front of you seems like it was crafted in madness, and birthed in nightmares. Various limbs, none of them matching, sprout from this monster in disarray, and in its eye a strange malignance glows.

These abominations are the Meridian 59 version of "The Flood".
One of the most aggressive, dangerous (and fun) creature encounters in the game - the thrashers can only be found in one area - "The Affirmation of the Forsaken" - which must be unlocked through a puzzle in the Marion Crypt Level Two.
Special Attacks:
1) It does a swell amount of damage if it is focused on you as its primary target.
2) It has a second "area attack" where it will quickly spin around hitting everyone around them that does a small amount of damage.
3) When it hits you, it freezes your HP regeneration rate for a time.
4) Enfeeble - If you are its primary target, you have a chance of being enfeebled. Note: This chance goes up significantly if you are fighting it alone than if you are the primary target in a group of others.
Weakness:
Fire.
The best melee weapon is a holding (Zjiria) or blinding (Q) long sword, a mystic sword, or a nerudite sword.
