Web Developer/Consultant

Designed and developed a fully functional internet based product catalog and shopping cart system using ASP technology over an Access97 relational database on a Windows NT server hosting IIS 4.0. The website contains an easily managed navigation system which provides access to the product catalog, shopping cart, product information, frequently asked questions, contact information, on-line help and requests via e-mail areas. The dynamic content of the website is stored in an Access97 database that is completely manageable by backend administration functions protected by a custom security application. All data input by the customer on the client side is validated using JavaScript. All form validation on the server side is done with VBScript. The data is manipulated using ADO. A customer lookup function was added which takes advantage of intelligent SQL functionality to extract the relevant data from the database. All graphics were designed using a combination of Paint Shop Pro and Microsoft Image Composer. The intention of this project was to provide exposure to the residential playground equipment company in order to broaden their service area.
